The Lok Sabha on weekday passed the supplementary demand for grants (second batch for 2020-21).

·       During the year, if the govt. must pay any cash that has not been approved by Parliament or must incur extra expenditure, it will introduce Supplementary Demands for Grants.

·       Typically, Supplementary Demands for Grants area unit passed in each Parliament session.

·       Article 115 of the constitution provides for Supplementary, extra or excess grants.

Note that, not like the strain for Grants conferred with the budget, these supplementary demands havent been scrutinised by Standing  Committees.
