Recently , Supreme Court expressed that national life board has not met for regarding six years.

·       The National Board for life has forty seven members with the Prime Minister within the Chair.

·       The Minister answerable of the MoEF in GOI is that the Vice-Chairperson.

·       The further Director General of Forests (WL) & Director, life Preservation is that the Member-Secretary to the Board.

·       Other members embrace 3 Members of Parliament (two from Lok Sabha and one from Rajya Sabha), 5 NGOs and ten eminent ecologists, conservationists and environmentalists.

·       The board is informative  in nature and advises the GOI in conservation and development of life and forests.

·       It has the ability to review all wildlife-related matters and approve comes in and around national parks and sanctuaries.

No alternation of boundaries in national parks and life sanctuaries will be steer clear off the approval of the National Board for life.
