A Bengaluru-based professional person has alleged that the rules issued when the Nirbhaya rape case are desecrated within the sex CD scandal involving former Karnataka Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.

About Nirbhaya fund:

·       The Rs 1,000 large integer Nirbhaya Fund was declared in Union Budget 2013 by the then government minister P Chidambaram.

·       The corpus was to be used for upholding safety and dignity of girls.

·       Ministry of girls and kid Development except many alternative involved ministries were authorised to figure out details of structure, scope and application of this fund.

The Fund is run by Department of Economic Affairs of the finance ministry.
